Terms and Conditions of Booking
Advanced booking: Advanced booking
is recommended in peak season and for all Bank Holidays.
Bank Holidays: Minimum 3
night booking.
Pods: Minimum 2 night
booking.
Payment: A £20 non-refundable
deposit is required to secure your booking. Full payment of the balance is due 14 days prior to arrival. Full payment required if booking made within 14 days of arrival date. Credit and
Debit cards accepted (including American Express). Cheques should be made payable to ‘The Alders Caravan
Park’
Provisional Bookings: Provisional
bookings will be held for 3 days at which point, unless a deposit payment has been made, reservations will be automatically cancelled.
Responsibility: The person completing the
booking is responsible for the conduct of their party. It is your responsibility to ensure that all members of your party accept these terms and conditions of booking.
Cancellations and Refund Policy:
Amendments: Any complete change of
dates constitutes a cancellation to your existing booking. Whilst we will do everything we can to accommodate
customers’ requests, we cannot accept responsibility or compensation for circumstances beyond our control. These
include (but are not limited to) industrial disputes, natural disasters, fire, technical problems, bad weather and Acts of Government.
Groups: Bookings of more
than 3 Pitches/Pods by prior arrangement only.
Pitches: We will try and accommodate
group bookings together whenever possible, but this cannot be guaranteed. Please note we have limited hardstanding pitches but the site drainage is good and all grass pitches are suitable for all
size caravans and motorhomes except in exceptionally wet weather.
Tents and caravans can be accommodated together within the open area known as The Woodlands, subject to availability. Units must be a minimum of 6m apart. Please be aware that maximum tent size is 9m x 6m including guy ropes. If your tent is larger than this and infringes on an adjacent
pitch, you may be asked to book an additional pitch.
Please use breathable ground sheets only.
Fire: Fire Points are located around
the site. Please ensure that you and members of your party are familiar with the location of these fire points.
Barbeques must be kept clear of the grass to prevent scorching. Small chimineas (enclosed fires) are permitted but open fires are not permitted other
than Alders Firewheels which are available to hire. Wood is available to buy on site. Scavenging for wood anywhere on the farm is prohibited. All BBQs and fires must be extinguished by
11pm.
Gazebos and Pup tents are permitted subject to the relevant charge and only with prior approval. Pup tents are no larger than a 2 man tent with up to 2 children, 16 years or under or a single cyclist with no car. Gazebos to be no larger than 3m x 3m.
Arrivals and Departures. Please advise if you intend to arrive after 6pm.
Pitches/Pods are available from 2pm on the day of arrival. If you would like to arrive earlier, please telephone ahead and enquire as to availability, subject to the early arrival
charge of £5.00. A security gate is situated at the entrance to our site and is locked between 12.30 amand6am.
Pitches should be vacated by 12pm and Pods by 11am on the day of departure. We kindly request that both Pitches and Pods should be left clean and tidy on departure.
Please enquire at reception if you would like to depart later in which case we will try and accommodate you where possible subject to a £5 charge.
Vehicles/Parking: Commercial
vehicles are not permitted on site.
Cars and/or caravans should not be washed on site. A washing point is available on the farm and may be used at a charge of £10.00. Please enquire at reception.
One vehicle is permitted per pitch. Extra cars are subject to an additional charge but please do try and keep it to one car per pitch. We are a rural site and extra cars spoil the view!
Please park any extra vehicle in the visitors car park.
Please respect the speed limit on the park of 15mph.
Security: In the interest of
security, entrance to the Park is via an electric gate operated by a magnetic card or key fob to be returned prior to departure. (After 8.30am). Cards and fobs should not be used to let any other
vehicle onto the site other than your main car.
Day visitors are not currently permitted This policy was reviewed on 21 Jun and remains extant. Under normal circumstances there is a charge
for day visitors of £5 per car.
Noise: Please respect the privacy of other users of the caravan park and keep noise to a minimum between the hours of 11pm and 7am.
Electricity: All caravan and motorhome
pitches include 10 amp electric hook-up. Some tent pitches with electric hook-up are available; please telephone to enquire about availability. Charging of electric cars from the EHU points is
prohibited.
For your own safety, if you are using electric in your tent please ensure you are using a mobile mains power unit with RCD and overload trip protection.
Please ensure all kitchen appliances used are suitable for camping. BBQs should not be taken into tents, pods or awnings.
Wifi: Free ‘Rural’ Wifi is available on site by logging on to ‘Alders Blue’ or ‘Alders Red’ Hotspots.
Dogs:
We strive to maintain a peaceful and friendly natured park. A maximum of two well behaved, quiet and well-disciplined dogs per
unit are allowed.
It is important that dogs do not disturb other guests nor animals and the wildlife we are trying to encourage on the park/farm.
Dogs must be on a lead at all times when not in their owner’s car or caravan.
Dogs’ owners are responsible for clearing up after their dog; dogs must not foul the site.
Dogs may be walked on the Farm Walk. Please ask at reception for details.
A day kennel is available. Owners of dogs that disturb other guests will be asked to place their dogs in the kennels.
We have one ‘Dog friendly’ Pod. No dogs are allowed in the other Pods. Guests who do not observe this will be charged a £25
cleaning charge on departure. Please enquire directly to book the Dog Friendly Pod.
With the exception of guide dogs, no dogs are allowed in the toilet blocks.
We reserve the right to refuse access to dogs that we consider are unsuitable for The Alders.
Recreation: Please be considerate of
other campers when playing ball games. Leather footballs/rugbyballs can only be used when there is no
chance of them hitting a caravan or car. Cricket/Hard balls are not acceptable at any time. (There is a
wonderful park in the village for all ball games, but unfortunately guests are not permitted to use the cricket nets at Home Farm.)
Children remain the responsibility of
their parents or guardians at all times.
Shower Blocks: Shower blocks are
located on both the Abbeys & Dales areas; showers are free and push button operated. Each block has disabled facilities with easy access.
A spacious laundry area is situated in the Dales block with washing machine/dryer and ironing facilities.
Washing up areas are located behind both shower blocks.
Waste disposal and Rubbish facilities:
Please empty chemical closets only at the disposal point. Please place nappies in a sealed bag in the dustbins. Do not place them in the disposal point.
We kindly request that customers place bagged household rubbish only in the dustbins. All large items, particularly cardboard packaging can be taken to Tholthorpe Recycling Centre and must not be
left in the rubbish areas. Alternatively please take them home.
Liability: All vehicles, caravans, tents and contents of any description enter and stay on the park at the owner’s risk. We accept no liability or responsibility for theft, damage, injury or fault whilst on the Park, access roads or within the authorised areas.
Data Protection:
The information taken at time of booking is required to be collected for the purposes of processing your reservation at The Alders Caravan Park. We will only use your data to keep you informed of our activities and to keep you updated with news, offers and other information that may be of interest to you, IF you have given us your express opt-in consent. In order to help us improve our customer service, we may disclose your data to CampStead Ltd who may contact you, inviting you to complete a questionnaire and review regarding your stay at our park. All personal data is handled in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation effective from 25 May 2018. To comply with this legislation, our detailed Privacy Policy can be found on our website www.alderscaravanpark.co.uk.
Other Information:
Alne Village Cricket Club invites you
to join them at the bar in the Cricket pavilion during and after home fixtures and Friday & Saturday evenings during the season.
Generators are not permitted on
site.
Safety: Visitors are not permitted
into the farm building area. There are two cattle grids on the approach road to the caravan park. Gates are provided for the safety of pedestrians and cyclists. It is the responsibility of
parents and guardians to ensure children are supervised at all times whilst on the site. Please strike a balance between their enjoyment and that of others.
Complaints: We hope you do not have any cause for complaint during your stay at The Alders, however should you feel the need to make a complaint, please raise this with the owners and we will attempt to rectify the situation. If we do not know, then we cannot help.
These terms and conditions are in place for the good management of The Alders Caravan Park and for the benefit of all who use it. We are committed to making sure your time with us is as enjoyable as possible. These conditions help us to protect our customers as well as ourselves, but we hope not to have to rely on them.
